OUR MISSION

To treat every & any patient equally, no matter their race, color, religion or sexual inclination. Each treatment is individually tailored to the unique needs of the patient.

OUR APPROACH

At SHAI   M, our treatment approach is rooted in Daoist philosophy:

yinyang

The Tao begot one.

One begot two.

Two begot three.

& three begot the ten thousand things.

The ten thousand things carry yin & embrace yang.

They achieve harmony by combining these forces.

Consequently, this means that everything originated from the same source, that there is not good nor evil. There is only Qi (the One), Yin & Yang (the Two). Every being, entity, & person is a combination of these three forces. Therefore, when treating a patient, no matter his/her condition, we will strive to restore harmony instead of fighting the disease, or killing the pathogen. By restoring balance & homeostasis we help the patient to regain inner peace & well being, i.e. health.

FROM SPECIALIST TO GENERALIST

In Chinese Medicine, the practitioner begins his career with one specialty, adding another, and another, until finally, he/she becomes a Generalist towards the end of his/her career.

Gilles Obermayer started his career as martial artist & Die Da (Hit & Fall medicine) apprentice with Tom Bisio. He went on to add other specialties such as Shiatsu (with Ohashi Sensei), medical aromatherapy, fertility, pediatrics, stone medicine (with Dr. Jeffrey Yuen), geriatric, Gu syndromes with Heiner Fruehauf & more. Although an accomplished practitioner, Gilles will never stop learning, studying & researching his field.
